For goods, the french Post offers 2 main shipping methods: Colissimo international and Petit paquet international

Here, the purpose is to explain how to reduce your cost of freight.

Some of our customers do not need all services like Colissimo International can offer, as:

- on-line tracking,

- proof of deposit,

- delivery against signature,

- insurance included (23 EUR/Kg)

Actually, if your packet is up to 1 kg, the cost is exactly EUR 15.25 for a shipment to Belgium by example. Please note that Colissimo prices are updated each year on the first of march.

In that case, you save 5 %: EUR 16.05 X 0.95.

But if it remains too expensive or if you need the sole shipment service, the french post service "Petit paquet International/tarifs courrier" will reduce your shipment cost:

- EUR 10.00 for 1 kg packet with the priority method or,

- EUR 6.50 with the economic method. Please note that each year, prices of "tarifs courrier" are updated the first of july.

Two main physical restraints with this low rate service:

- the total of width, length and height can not be over 90 cm.

- the maximum weight is 2 kg for Zone 1 (Europe+Switzerland) and 3 kg for Zone 2 (Rest of the world)

By the way, please, feel free to ask us whether we can respect this "90 cm restraint" regarding the product you want to order; knowing that its weight will not exceed 2 kg for Zone 1 or 3 kg for Zone2.

Les délais d'envoi par Lettre Max peuvent être longs

En cette période estivale, nous avions vu lors de notre article du 20 courant, que le service Colissimo sera perturbé jusqu'au 7 août inclus.

Et ce, en raison notamment de l'interdiction faite aux poids lourds de circuler le samedi.

Soit!

Mais quid de l'autre service de La Poste, la Lettre Max?

Eh bien, il semblerait que le retard se maintient aussi pour cette autre catégorie de prestations.

Une Lettre Max envoyée lundi dernier - 19/07 - a été déposée dans la boîte du destinataire aujourd'hui le 23/07.

Soit cinq jours d'acheminement (voir la capture écran du suivi en ligne ci-dessous).

Information purement factuelle.

Une précision tout de même. En d'autres périodes de l'année, la Lettre Max arrive chez son destinataire en moyenne en 48h.

L'été, serait-elle une saison peu propice à la logistique

Sur le site Colissimo de La Poste, des retards de livraison des colis (Colissimo) sont possibles.

Information bonne à savoir pour une meilleure visibilité du tracking de votre Colissimo.

L'explication de ces retards potentiels de livraison s'explique par l'interdiction faite aux poids lourds de circuler les samedis du 10 juillet au 7 août 2010 - voir les deux captures écrans ci-dessous -.

How to check the shipment cost of your order (Foreign customers)?

You know that our website charge you only the shipment fees for France, Andorra, Monaco, or Corsica.

So, we explained you yesterday how to pay the extra (shipment) cost with your Paypal account function called "Geld senden" (German customers). As well, this extra cost can be directly requested from us as you can receive our "on line Paypal payment demand".

But how to check easily this extra cost regarding the calculation which is a simple subtraction?

First, please, take the 2 figures you need from our website as shown below:

Then, check the total shipment cost (according the country where you live) with this online tool from Coliposte (Groupe La Poste)

Then, press "Enter" ("Envoyer") to get the price (EUR). Please, see below the screen capture of the result.

So, at this step, you have all information as you already calculated your extra (shipment) cost of 14,35 EUR.
(24,35 EUR less 10 EUR).

You can then complete your order on our website.

As for the payment of the extra (shipment) fee, this is the final step with 2 options.

OPTION 1:

Either, you pay directly from your Paypal account with the payment function ("Geld senden", German version) as explained yesterday.

OPTION 2:

Either, you pay from our "online Paypal request" ("Geld anfordern", German version) we sent to you.

If you order our products, you need to complete your settlement by a second payment relative to the extra cost of shipment that we do not currently charge directly on our website www.atomiclechat.com.

This is according to our current shipment policy (section "Zone de Livraison").

The current shipment we charge on our website concerns only France, Monaco, Andorre, and Corsica.

Example: if your order has a total weight which is not over 1 kg, you have a 9,30 EUR(1) extra (shipment) cost to pay.

The best way to pay is to use your Paypal Account.

In a same time, you could receive a request from our compagny Paypal account (AtomicLeChat) which will ask you to pay the extra (shipment) cost.

We use the same Paypal function that is also available when you use your Paypal account.
This function is called "Geld anfordern":

It's up to you to choose how to pay!

Either, you pay with the "Geld senden" Paypal function, either you pay when you receive from us our "Geld anfordern" from our Paypal account.
